In My own words:

Before the 1970s the credit industry did not exist (Credit is a way to obtain tangible things and cash advances or loans you can repay later with interest) people used to work for a decent wage meaning they were able to buy what they needed and pay for, they could visit a doctor, buy groceries, drive a car, etc.. they didn't live luxurously like in the 80s and 90s but they have their basic necesities met, children could go to college without having to incur in high debt.
As the demand for products increased because of demographics, meaning population growth the industry experience growth and expansion, business owners wealth expanded greatly and so their posibilities.

Along with this growth business owners started to look for ways to save their costs of production, replacing american citizens by undocumented inmigrants has been a way to save millons in the production plants since the pay was cut to a minimum and without benefits, that incentivate the illegal inmigration in masses.

This expansion in the american economy was portrayed by the media as this country being the land of the prosperity where you could come and if you worked hard you could have things that otherwise would not be posible in their own country.

That statement was backed up by recent examples during these years of how some people had started as a clerk in a business and in a few years was promoted to a management position with better pay and benefits and so the culture of the american dream spreaded around and people would come from all over chasing that prosperity.

The american dream culture could not be sustained with the huge technology growth of the 1990s along with the outsourcing of the production created by the Free Trade system and for the past 30 years we have seen the results:
Companies are no longer growing with the people in america but elesewhere in foreign countries.

In the 1980s President Reagan and the congress followed by the action of lobbyist from powerful companies signed a law which will allow companies to expand their operations to under developed countries like China, India, south america etc.. they called it Free Trade Act.

For these countries this was one of the best moves that ever happen, that meant that the US will build branches of their business and employ locals which will promote growth in those countries. For american business it was heaven since now they could slash their production costs to an unprecendented low.

The cost savings from the Freee Trade enterprise will be transfered to the american people since now the cost of goods has been slashed as well and makes cheaper for americans to buy these produsts.

Here at home the americans that lost their jobs to foreign workers are struggling and have found work at a lower pay. That forced women to go out to the job market to complement for the loss income of the men and sure enough once they are in the job market they extended credit to them as well and voila you have the economy boom of the 80s and 90s where both mom and dad incomes combined plus whatever they can buy on credit and move into a new home with a 30 years mortgage.

Lastly we come to the second half of the first decade in 21st century, most people are deep in debt and Wall Street come up with the idea of exploiting the real estate market and by doing so they need to speculate with the cost of the homes by packaging per say all the bad mortgages and putting them for sale in the market for the sole purpose of making more money than they ever imagined before.

A huge scam that you can only understand if you think of wall street as the creator of an imaginary economy that has fed from the ignorance of the little people under the promise of the american dream and is so much unsustainable.

Think of Bernnie Madoff the greatest ponzy schemer of all modern time. Madoff for 40 years made thousand of people believe that their money was in good hands with him and it turned out that it was all fake in the end, he could not make it right. It was fucking imposible to make it right if you are betting with people's money on an economy that is a fantasy.
I hope somebody can prove me wrong, that will make me feel a lot better.

Commercial Construction

Commercial renovation is becoming popular, shopping plazas getting a face lift is a trend, in an effort to gain new customers and retain the new ones seems to be the motto.
The big signs with carved stone at the corner entrance is an eye catcher for the street traffic, the individual lighted signs mounted on the facade also tells the story of the retailers occupying space of the plaza.
